Description: Artisan handcrafted sterling silver belt buckle. Rectangular-form, slightly bent to fit better and with a swing belt latch. Beautifully decorated with pierced Mayan Shaman(?), scrolls and a rhomb shaped vacant cartouche. Buckle was decorated with niello enamel which almost rubbed off. Some leftovers of enamel - dark spots into pierced ornament, please see and inspect all photos. Marked underside: "Guatemala" for country or city of origin; "Silver" for structure material. Tested positive for sterling silver or .925/1000 silver purity. No maker/manufacturer marks. Made in Guatemala, North America, ca1960's-1970's. Pictures will tell you more. Approx.: Length: 2-3/16in.
