Description: This is an authentic and rare maybe 1 of a kind autograph of Kenesaw Mountain Landis, the first commissioner of baseball and a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. The signature has been certified by Professional Sports (PSA/DNA) for its authenticity. The autograph is it a unique piece of baseball history. It was gathered by Alice Jennings who conducted handprints of Dizzy Dean, Babe Ruth, Charles Lindbergh, etc . 1934 Kenesaw Mountain Landis Signed Handprint. An identical format to the Babe Ruth handprint that sold for $222,000 in December 2010, the offered model documents the hand that put a stop to the Major League careers of "Shoeless Joe" Jackson and the other Black Sox. It's a perfect print, applied to letterhead of "Alice Denton Jennings, Character Analysis." These prints were supplied by baseball icons for Ms. Jennings' pseudoscientific studies suggesting that the lines of the palm reveal personality traits. Landis' black ink signature underscores his print, and the page exhibits minor toning and wear at the edges of the 11x8.5" sheet. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Kenesaw Mountain Landis' role in the infamous Black Sox Scandal of 1918 made him famous. This item is a must-have for any serious baseball collector, and a piece of American sports history.
