A brand new item may have reasonable shelf wear like small tears to the shrink wrap, or sticker residue on the shrink wrap.Like New - The disc has no flaws. Looks like it was just opened. No scratches, fingerprints, or smudges.Very Good - A well taken care of disc that looks like it has been used, but has gone right back into the case each time. The disc may have very few minor scratches. In most instances, the scratches will only be visible when tilting the disc in the light. Very few or no fingerprints or smudging. In most cases, no smudging or fingerprints. Good - There are more visible scratches than with very good. Some scratches might show without having to tilt the disc under light. The disc might have fingerprints or smudging. A "good" disc is one that while it doesn't look near perfect, you would have no doubt after inspecting it visually that it will play without skipping.Acceptable - Heavy and visible scratching or smudging. You can instantly see the scratches when holding the disc.
