These curtains features: * Professionally made to a superb standard - these are part hand finished, they do NOT contain care labels nor would they display fabric composition** Pattern match is fluid, weighted hemline, blanket interlined and blackout lined***Elegant French pinch pleats for a formal hang ✿ ITEM: ONE pair (2 panels) of curtains, bespoke made to measure for its last home in an archived opulent 100% silk embroidered fabric by Harlequin whom are part of the Sanderson's family. ✿ CONDITION: Offered in good pre-owned condition with the following observations:1. Palest sun streaking to the TOP layer lining and some scattered marks2. the leading edges - solid purple band has fraying on the inner lip, easily turned over to conceal or reverse hang the curtains as I have done.****The silk on the main body of the curtains is still in very excellent shape, it is NOT brittle, Not worn out and holds NO ripping, fraying or tears etc Whilst marks can be quantified, smells cannot. This has been sourced from a clean and smoke free home and is stored in the very same condition chez moi, BUT you are kindly reminded that this is a PREOWNED - so for hygiene sake, it is recommended that you clean BEFORE using. That said, I did not pick up anything offensive at all. ✿ FABRIC TEXTURE/COLOUR and DESIGN: 100% silk fabric - a good weight and not at all flimsy. Featuring a magnificent embroidery of larger floral blooms and leaves. Each curtain panel is edged with a purple band which aids to protect the main silk body from sun damage and of course gives the curtains a lovely contrasting finish. In a beautiful colour palette of muted purples & pale taupes with the backing being a decadent iridescent pale café latte -there is a wonderful silver hue that sits on top of the silk giving it a slight shimmer and the curtain colours taking on varying depths and tones. And as the pattern is embroidered on, this sits slightly elevated off the backing so lending more depth and character to what is already a most opulent set of curtains.There is random knotting and graining along the silk which is a natural characteristic of silk spun fabric and should not be mistaken for a fault. ✿ LINING TYPE: There are 3 layers to these curtains, the face fabric, a middle fleece layer and further blackout lined on top all totals maximum insulation. ✿ HEADER TYPE: Double pinch pleat header which have the fabric gathered and sewn at the time of making so the widths at the top will not adjust, but this gives a lovely formal and elegant finish to the curtains and they look lovely and neat when drawn open. These can be used for both track and pole (with rings) systems Measurements LAID FLAT +/- 2 cm Width (SIDE TO SIDE) 220 cm or 86.6 inches; Fixed across the pleated header to 125 cm or 49.2 inchesLength (TOP TO BOTTOM) 220 cm or 86.6 inches - The hem is sealed but I can just about make out a 3 inch in the hem (upturn) so these could be lengthened, although please note that should you do this, there may be a crease shadow from the previous hemline. **Postage is from my part of SW France and will be tracked & insured.
