Description: You are purchasing two dome head 1/4”-24 x 5/8” bolts and 1/4” split lock washers used to hold down the timer, circuit breaker, or as some people still called it- a distributor. This is for Knucklehead and Panhead OHV engines from 1936 to 1964. May only be “correct” for 36-48 based on a change in part number and description in later parts catalogs. This is a USA made reproduction and replaces OEM 1123-29 (early part #) or 3754 (late part #). Up through the 1948 parts catalog, this is quite clearly the bolt used for the timers. It is also the 2nd gear retainer bracket bolt on 45 solo transmissions. In 1949 and later parts catalogs I have it shows the timer bolt was 3779 which was a 1/4”-24 x 3/4” long bolt. That one is also illustrated as having a flat, rather than domed head. I do have those bolts on a different listing if those are the ones you feel you need. The last photo is a comparison between the 1123-29 and 3779 bolt. I’ve researched the issue and it does not seem to be addressed in Bruce Palmer’s work. There seems to be some misinformation on CP bolts and "reproductions". Chandler Products has always been willing to produce these bolts with large minimum quantity orders. There's either early production or current production. They changed head dies as they wore out and had multiple dies. All nuts are USA made using the same process Harley used when they operated their own screw and nut equipment with the flat lands on them. Spacers and washers are produced just like the ones H-D did back in the day. Parkerizing is same finish as how these came from the factory in the 1950's. I've also got other hardware kits listed in my store under "pre 1980's hardware" including all sorts of pre-sorted kits containing CP-1035 and CP-1038 bolts and other unique vintage H-D fasteners to meet your restoration needs. A note on shipping: Please understand sellers on eBay do not set the shipping rates. Please also understand that sellers are charged a final value fee on the amount of shipping you are charged over and above the fees they pay on the sale and the Paypal transaction. In addition to that, sellers have the expense of labels, shipping materials, padded mailers, etc. I do charge a handling fee on some items, but I also offer several shipping options whenever possible to give you more affordable shipping choices. If you ever think the shipping fee charged is too high, please let me know before leaving a low rating on shipping charges. It’s rare that I receive such feedback, but I work hard to keep my customers happy. I’d rather know if someone is unhappy before they leave a low rating. That’s the only way I can solve a problem. I don’t ever want a customer to go away unhappy! Know who you are buying from! We are not a drop-ship operation, each and every part we sell is carefully inspected to assure you get the quality part described in the listing. We have a no-hassle return policy, and we stand behind the parts we sell because we know what we are selling and shipping to our customers. Before you make a purchasing decision compare our feedback vs. others. We are aware eBay’s shipping calculator is not working correctly on combining shipping for some of our listings. If the shipping amount eBay is trying to charge you seems high, please contact us immediately or simply click “request total from seller” and we will promptly manually calculate your shipping. We always combine shipping on multiple item orders and will find the least expensive method which falls in line with how quickly you need your items. Thank you!
