Description: Haviland France 9.5" Hand Painted Footed Bowl, Violets, Ribbed, Gold Trim (Signed, 1909) A very lovely Haviland (France) decorative bowl, with hand painted purple violets and green leaves on a pale green body with accents of pale purple and orange. The scalloped rim has thick gold trim and is lightly embossed around the border. The bowl sits on 12 pointy feet, and has a very light green exterior glaze. The bowl measures 9.5 inches wide across the scalloped rim, and sits 2-5/8 inches high at the rim. The bowl is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The hand painted violet design is very nicely done, and shows just a little faint wear on the ribs. The bowl has a green arched mark for "Haviland France." There is a red hand-written signature for the artist, which appears to be Gairoe Davis, and is dated December 25, 1909.
