Description: This exquisite and extremely rare Haviland Limoges Collection Prestige Imperator Or (gold) teacup and saucer set features the finest translucent porcelain with delicate hand-encrusted 24-karat gold detailing. In outstanding condition with almost no signs of use, this glossy, golden set has no chips, no cracks and no crazing. The inside of the cup is pristine. The only slight flaws to mention are one or two pinpoint-size imperfections on the cup's upper gold rim and the saucer's inner gold rim that would only be noticeable if you were inspecting the pieces up close in bright light (see last photo). The undersides of both pieces are marked Collection Prestige Haviland Limoges. They do not say "Imperator Or" but with its bands of garlands and acanthus leaves and exceptional gilt artistry, they are obviously from the Imperator line. The Imperator pattern was inspired by a model decorated with gold highlights discovered in the Haviland archives in 1956. Pieces from this line can still be special-ordered from the renowned manufacturer's website.
