The first spark that brought Hellsingland Underground to life was when lead singer Charlie Granberg moved back to his childhood smalltown Ljusdal, in the summer of 2006. After having written a handful of songs, he contacted some of his friends to see if they were interested in starting a band. Drummer Patrik Jansson brought Mathias Stenson and his Hammond organ to their first rehearsal, Charlie met the bass player on a party and Mats Olsson brought his childhood friend Peter in as a second guitarist.
