Description: Blue Satin Rose of Sharon Hibiscus syriacus ‘Blue Satin’ Up for bid are seeds of the fairly new cultivar of Rose of Sharon, Blue Satin. This variety is superior to Blue Bird, in that it has a stronger growing habit, and the color of the flowers is more brilliant. These seeds were collected in USDA zone 5 in Pennsylvania. Rose of Sharon is considered hardy to USDA zone 5, and the plants that these seeds were harvested from are in that zone and thriving. These plants easy to grow from seed, and they grow quite fast. One of the greatest features of Rose of Sharons is that they bloom over a very long period, starting in mid summer, and continuing until about frost. These shrubs grow best in full sun, but they will tolerate a small amount of shade, and they typically can grow 8’ to 12’ tall. This variety gets fairly large flowers of a great blue color, and I have to say that I am personally very impressed with the whole ‘Satin’ line of Rose of Sharon. You are bidding on 10 seeds of the wonderful Blue Satin Rose of Sharon. As always, you can save on shipping by buying more than one of my items, so please view my other auctions.
