Elegant, lightweight occasional chair, with a tie-on cushion. I'm fairly certain this was part of the pieces decorator Mark Hampton designed for this maker, as can be seen in older catalogs. A curved back with two intertwined "X" forms, with curved arm rests. The rounded cushion sits on a caned seat. Simple turned details adorn the legs and arm supports. The cushion is a pale yellow cotton, with a geometric embroidered floral motif in multiple colors. In exceptional original condition. Structurally perfect - solid and strong. The painted finish shows no wear or chipping, etc. There is a few bits of flaked paint on the caned seat but almost too small to notice. The cushion is clean and firm, and the cords and tassels are mint. This was part of a master suite's furnishings and saw little to no use. No smoking, no pet home. Dimensions: 34.5" tall. Height of the armrests is 29.5". The seat is 18.5" wide, 19" deep and and is appx. 21" high to the crown. Shipping is FREE in the Continental USA.
