This special limited edition portfolio is an elegant presentation of Sugimoto's seascapes. The reproductions are 300 line screen tri-tones printed in offset lithography. The reproductions are nearly indistinguishable from the originals, making this the perfect vehicle for the subtleties of Sugimoto's photographs. Each of the fifty images is tipped-on to gorgeous Peach Kent paper, with blind-stamped titles. The sheet measures approx 14" x 18.25". The portfolio is protected in an exquisite brushed aluminum case and a printed cardboard slipcase. These monochromatic landscape portraits poignantly capture water and air while simultaneously documenting the transcendent quality of their underlying stillness. Of these works, Sugimoto has said, “Mystery of mysteries, water and air are right there before us in the sea.
