Description: Hudson's Bay Company. For sale is more than a garment - it's a piece of history. This is a 1940's Red Wool Coat by Hudson's Bay Company. What makes this jacket so special is the patches adorned along the frontside. These patches were available at train stations in the early-to-mid twentieth century throughout Canada. The owner of this jacket collected several along Western Canada. The jacket is still in good condition considering its age. There was a silk lining which has disintegrated away on the inside of the pockets, under the wrists, and elsewhere. The buttons have some minor wear and tear on them. There are also a few holes throughout the jacket which have been highlighted in the photos. They're small, but are worth noting. The jacket has character and patina which is evident by the journey its been on. No size tag, but it seems like it fits like a Large.
