CONRAD, AND CO., NO. 114, MARKET STREET, BALTIMORE; AND RAPIN, CONRAD, AND CO., WASHINGTON CITY. - 1803."(1803 SECOND EDITION COPY OF THIS BOOK, THIS BEING VOLUME TWO ONLY OF THE VERY RARE TWO VOLUME SET!!)-- Here we have a good or better for its age, Second Edition copy of the second volume of this extremely rare history of England during the Revolutionary War period. This set seldom if ever comes up for sale even at the largest auction houses, with no history of any copies of it having sold in the last few years. This volume concerns events outside the United States, but gives valuable insight into the external pressures facing England while she was fighting to keep control of her American colonies. Both France and Spain had declared war on England, opening a multifront war that made it impossible to focus her full attention on America. The book includes a detailed history of these issues, and ends with an interesting appendix of peace treaties between England and her various adversaries as well as treaties with the new United States and other interesting documents. This book is available in google books as a download only, but this may well be your only chance to own an original copy of this book for your collection. The hinges on this early full calf American leatherbound book are badly cracked but the covers are still solidly attached and the book will look quite nice both on your coffee table and on your bookshelf.-- THIS IS A FULL LEATHERBOUND BOOK OF 456 PLUS 59 PAGES, WHICH MEASURES ABOUT 8 AND A HALF BY 5 AND A HALF INCHES IN DIAMETER--I AM PUTTING THIS UP FOR SALE TODAY AT A REASONABLE BUY-IT-NOW PRICE WITH FREE SHIPPING, OR FEEL FREE TO SUBMIT YOUR BEST OFFER--GARY FROM HAUNTED MANSION RELIX--
