Description: This is a matted antique engraving from THE ILLUSTRATED SPORTING AND DRAMATIC NEWS, an illustrated newspaper published in 1877. The prints in this series are printed on what is called rag paper, an antique paper that is stronger and far more enduring than the newspaper material we use today. TITLE: H.M.S. PIQUE (See pictures for smaller text) ARTIST: NOT IDENTIFIED CONDITION: EXCELLENT -- The prints in this series are clear, clean and bright with wide margins -- no tears or folds, excellent definition and nice clean, sharp lines. This print is about 145 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned newspaper and NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION.The visible part of the print, including the white border is 6 3/4" x 9 1/4". Matted the print measures 9" x 12".
