Description: PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY!Hi, this sale is for a new can motor flywheel upgrade kit for the Mantua or Tyco 4-6-2 Pacific or 4-6-4 Hudson steam locomotives. This kit will replace the Pittman or Mantua open frame motors found in the early Mantua Pacific and Hudson locomotives. This kit WILL NOT FIT later versions of Pacific or Hudson locomotives that are equipped with the new can motor Mantua Power Drive system. This motor kit WILL NOT FIT THE Mantua 4-6-2 camelback, 2-10-0, or other Mantua steam locomotives. If you need a motor kit for the Mantua 0-4-0, 0-6-0, 2-6-2, 2-8-2, 2-8-4, or 2-6-6-2, please see my other auctions. This motor kit will fit locomotives with the early power drive system. If your locomotive is equipped with the early power drive system with the Pittman motor, please contact me before buying this kit If you have any questions, please contact me before purchasing this kit. This may save you the hassle of returning the kit. The motor measures 32mm long x 20mm high x 15mm wide, the motor shaft is 2mm in diameter and 8mm long. The flywheel measures 1/2 inch in diameter and is 1/2 inch long, the flywheel shaft is 1 1/4" long and is 3/32" in diameter. The motor draws 35ma with no load at 12VDC and develops 8875 rpm. This motor will start turning smoothly on 1 volt DC. The stall current is 900ma, this motor is DCC compatible. This is a very high torque, heavy duty motor. With this motor kit installed, your locomotive will have smoother starts, better slow speed operation, and a LOWER TOP SPEED and reduced operating noise. This motor kit utilizes the existing Mantua worm gear from the old motor. PLEASE NOTE! A worm gear IS NOT INCLUDED with the motor kit.
