During our first few years together we were a part of the LA club scene. After receiving some favorable reviews in the rock press, we started to receive attention from a few record companies. In March of 1990, we signed with Word/A&M Records and released our first album Holy Soldier It was an immediate success. It charted #7 on Billboards CCM sales chart, won a Dove Award for Metal Album of the Year, a Dove Award for Metal Recorded Song of the Year for the song Stranger and also received a Readers Choice Award from CCM magazine for "Favorite Metal Album'. The album also charted 5 Top Ten Hits on Christian Rock Radio. In the months that followed, we toured in over 60 cities across the U S., Japan and Canada. In the beginning of 1991, we set forth plans to record our second release Last Train and we were off to Seattle, Washington to work with David Zaffiro (who also produced our debut release). Production of Last Train was completed in August of 1991. In January of 1992, Last Train was released and immediately went up Billboards CCM sales chart to #10. The title track. Last Train received an award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International for "Superior Creativity in words and Music', and two singles were nominated for Dove Awards Once again we hit the road embarking on a world tour including stops in the U S., Europe, Japan, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Canada Touring went on into late 1993. In 1994, we started production of Promise Man. This record took about six months of production time from start to finish, but the outcome was well worth the wait as it birthed a new sound and style for us. In 1995, we released Promise Man. In 1996 it received Dove Awards for "Hard Rock Album of the Year" and "Hard Rock Recorded Song of the Year" for the title track. Promise Man also launched three #1 rock singles. God's hand has definitely guided us in these years that we have been in music and ministry together He has given us the songs on this album for the purpose of advancing His kingdom and to share with you. They were written about our personal relationships with Him, each other, our families and our friends. Many of you have been with us since the beginning and others are just being introduced to us for the first time. Whatever the case may be. we appreciate each and every one of you. This album was recorded live in concert at ROCKETOWN, a club in Nashville.TN. Our original vocalist Steven Patrick came for a special guest appearance and we performed these songs together with him one more time, thus birthing the album title. ENCORE.
