I am pleased to present for your viewing and potential bidding a very-good condition hardcover, dustjacket copy of Clementine Paddleford's "How America Eats" published in 1960 by Scribner. This could be a first edition, but unsure as it is not stated. However, price not clipped and "Book Club" is not noted, so assume 1st edition. Jacket has a few tears which I've tried to show in the pictures. Orange cloth cover in excellent condition; gilt lettering is bright and print on the cover/spine area is bright. No noted rips, tears or markings except for the signature of the author inside front cover opposite page and prior owner's name on title page top in pen. No wear to cover; no shelf wear. Some slight foxing of edges of endpages. Book consists of 495 pages. It takes 800 of her not-so-publicized recipes recipes and puts them together in this book. You will also receive a paper pamphlet "Clementime Paddleford Invites you to a Dickens Christmas Dinner" from "This Week Magazine" from December 4, 1960 which has some holiday recipes on it. E-mail me with additional questions or for additional pictures. Any glare in the photos is from the room lighting. Buyer to pay media mail or priority mail shipping. All items from a smoke-free home. I will combine shipments where possible. PAll items to be paid for within 10 days of auctions' close date. Please e-mail me with additional questions and thanks for looking!
