Description: Wonderful 1950's Howard Pierce Porcelain Pigeon. Why didn't he call themDoves. Sounds so much better. Anyway, this is a lovely vintage mid century 1950's item. A rare color blend. I've not seen many of these gray speckled ones. The bird is 8'' long, 3'' wide and stands 4 1/2'' tall. It is free of damage, the white spots are the reflection of sunlight coming through the windows. It has a nice high gloss finish. It had green felt on the bottom in case the porcelain might scratch the glass shelves it sat on for many years. You can see it is clearly marked on the bottom.
