Huge needlepoint measuring 37" x 28 1/2". It is displayed in original ornate wood and gesso frame measuring 42" x 33 1/2". Glass included. This is a very unusual scene based on Luke chapter 10, verse 38. I have tried to research it, but have not found this particular interpretation of Mary & Martha with Jesus.. This needlepoint was purchased in New England and I believe it to be a one-of-a-kind piece. Museum quality.Condition: The needlework is in amazing condition with the colors still rich and crisp. The frame shows some wear including a crack and a missing piece (please view all photographs to view these condition issues). Other than that, there are some other very light signs of wear like crackling in the gesso or a very small chip off a corner. But overall, this piece has been well cared for.Thanks for stopping by.
