Description: Humphrey Bogart authentically signed typed letter, dated 1943. This letter is part of the collection of Eloise Coates, who founded the first Bogart fan club. The collection was first auctioned by RR Auctions, one of the premiere autograph auction houses, and then later by Bonham's, and this letter will be accompanied by a COPY of the RR Auctions Certificate of Authenticity that accompanied the collection. (Note that the RR COA pictures THIS letter). Bogart wishes "the kids" a Merry Christmas, then mentions that he has just finished filming 'Passage to Marseilles', and that after a trip on his boat with his wife Mayo, he will be leaving on a tour of the camps. He mentions that he hopes he'll visit the boys close to the front lines. A fine letter from the Golden Age of Bogart's career. Very Good condition, with usual mailing folds.
