It comes with 2 screws that slide in the slots to make a fence, and I went to HD and got some Bessey 2.04 (4"×2") bar clamps ($4.97 ea) that also fit perfectly in the slots for other clamping needs. My Dewalt router fits perfectly on the router insert-I found a YouTube video that pointed out which holes to use. I improved install by removing the handle knob on the Dewalt attachment so it can easily go in and out. Good steady surface that holds a lot of weight-I put 500 pounds on it with no trouble. The ability to put a 2x4 on the extension clamps is a plus. I attached a power strip on one piece for easy on/off of router and multiple power connections. 1 minute to set up and when I'm done it takes 1 minute to store legs and put folded table out of the way. If you are not a project person and want to use the "bolt in" plastic router template with the pre-drilled holes, you will need to ensure your router actually fits, but Husky don't list which models fit. Some of the users in this forum have commented which work. Most routers will not fit. I love a good deal, and purchased the 1 1/2 HP Ryobi for under $100! The narrative below explains how you can inexpensively adapt it to a larger, flatter table inexpensively for under $30. It works even better now! In my case the new Ryobi would not fit either. The problem, and this will be the case with most routers, is that you need to figure out which under-bench mounting screws will fit your router, buy them and likely drill your own holes. To countersink and be below surface, they need to be cheese-head type (v shaped) screws to leave a flat work suface. HD may not stock them them, since they may be a specialized machine screw. For the Ryobi, I found that 5/16" bolts would work, but no cheese head screws were immediately available in that size, so what to do? There were at least 2 possibilities. (1) Purchase four smaller cheese head screws that hold on the plastic face plate and use these to mount the router. My second choice because they are not as substantial as the 5/16" screw, and probably not recommended by the manufacturer, but they would likely work. May not be safe either. Who knows. I purchased four stainless steel 1" V-shaped screws and planned to grind them down to exact size, but again, purely a backup plan. (2) BEST SOLUTION: Buy a piece of 1/2" thick, high grade plywood to mount on the top of the table. This will give a larger, smoother working surface, superior to the work table (see various user comments). HD sell them in 2' x 4' size. Cost me about $17. If you have an off-cut, even better! Look closely at the sequence of photos. I started by making a template with cardboard, torn off the back of a writing pad. Taped it to the plastic pre-drilled template, and used it to drill 3 holes to mount the router. When you make the template, use the plastic face-plate from the router which makes it easy. Remember to cut out the round center hole to position with the hole. I taped mine down and drilled straight through the cardboard and plastic together. Worked like a charm. some fiddling required with the drill. Do not try to countersink the big bolts, as it will weaken the plastic and you will need to purchase 3/16" ply and make a new insert! Now, mount the router underneath. See the ugly, big bolt heads? These can be hidden by re-using the template underneath the plywood, and making a recessed hole using a larger spade drill but. Don't worry that it leaves a small hole through the ply, it makes no difference. Once you have made countersink holes, the ply will fit over the table. Cut the center hole using a 2 1/2" hole saw. The next step is your first routing project! Mark up the board on top to machine route the two guides on the ply, which will hold the fence and clamps. Then use a spade bit to drill holes at each end. Remember the lower slot needs to be larger than the channel so that a clamp can be slid in. I used 3/16" for the slot and 3/4" for the wider bottom piece. When you route the channel, clamp two thin pieces of wood to the table, so the ply will slide without hitting the bolts now poking up the router bench. I used two pieces of door casing since 2" x 4" wood was too thick as the router bit would not adjust that high. Once you have the desired channel routed out, mount your ply over the top of the bench. For perfect alignment, I inserted the 2 1/2" round cutting bit through the ply, and the drill bit in the center fitted into the collet of the router. Screw the ply down using 3 cheese head screws top and bottom on the ply. Mine screwed into the 2' x 4" timber in the frames at the top and bottom of the table. Ensure the 2 x 4's are first screwed in and align with the ply. Now insert the fence bolts and mount your 2 x 4 fence and you are done. Took me 2-3 hours of fiddling and a trip back to HD for the bolts and ply, but overall a much better tool for routing. worth evey bit of effort which will last for years.Great and sturdy20 Aug 20Great and sturdy workbench. There are only two reasons that I did not give this a five star rating. (It should be 4.5 but I could not figure out how to do a half star) 1. They should have put a measuring tape etched into the long sides of the table to allow quick measures. 2. My Ryobi Miter saw does not fit into the slots for securing down. So even though they say it is a miter saw table it really is questionable. I would absolutely recommend purchasing this even if just for an extra table at the job site.
