You can glue it in place or leave it as a blow out point if the sprayers get jammed. This will take pressure off the pump and keep it from failing. Based on a riser height of 8 inches or below a 100-150 GPH pump should work. The ½ male adapter segment allows for screwing into a female threaded pump. Using a 150 gph pump the spray area can be up to 24 x 36 inches in coverage. This can be seen in the UV/fluorescent test picture. What you do: Gently screw in the spray heads. Don't over tighten and snap them off. Select your riser height or keep it as is. Insert the riser into the “T”. Connect the manifold to the pump with the threaded ½ inch male adapter end of the riser. Pump not included.
