Description: ICONIC Gianni Versace Fall 1992 Studded Leather Skirt Suit ULTRA RARE This is an iconic Gianni Versace leather skirt suit from the Fall 1992 Season. I have never seen runway pictures of this suit, but believe it was created especially for Elton John's 1992 "The One" tour which Versace outfitted most of the stage clothing worn by Elton and his band. I have owned many of the shirts and pants from the band members from that tour. For provenance, the first image is of Elton himself wearing the same pattern leather shirt and jacket along with Gianni and Donatella. There were only a few of these created for his back-up singers and given some of the slight wear, this appears to be stage worn. Overall the suit is in excellent condition and while there are hundreds and hundreds of gold and silver studs, all seam intact. The skirt has a few slight water marks in the front as shown, and the jacket has some light fading at the upper shoulders and the right rear shoulder and upper arm some some slight darkening and marks. The suit also comes with the matching studded belt. There are no size labels since this was a custom/made to measure piece, but it should fit a US 2 - 4 and was likely an Italian 38 in Versace sizing for the period.
