They have about a one to one ratio of night time use based on the amount of light the solar panel absorbs in the day. For every hour of direct sunlight, the lamps will remain bright for an hour plus of darkness (varying with the suns intensity, clouds and stuff!). The lamp unit is fully weatherproof (IP65 standard) with a projected 50,000 hour lifetime (the battery, however, may need to be replaced periodically).
