Description: India Combination Bench Stone This stone is two-sided with a rougher side for grinding and a finer side for sharpening. India Stones are manufactured with aluminum oxide abrasive and are not meant for making an extra fine edge. It is recommended that the Hard Arkansas stone be used for finishing the edge. They are orange brown in color on the fine side and dark gray on the coarse side. This stone is recommended in the Landwell book, "Reed Knife Sharpening" found in the "Books" section of this website.
