Also most small and inexpensive radios are scan only which makes it time consuming to find the station you want but this one you can go right to the station you want with the dial. Some small inexpensive radios you can’t even control the volume or it has only 2 volume settings “too quiet” and “too loud” but this one you can adjust the volume to the exact level you want. Some small inexpensive radios even have the ear buds permanently attached and no headphone jack, but these have a headphone jack so you have the option of using ear buds or even speakers if you like other speakers over its built-in speaker. It has a handy belt clip that is detachable (To detach you lift up where it says “lift” and then pull straight down). It has a power indicator light. The box says it takes 2 AA batteries but that is a misprint, it actually takes 2 AAA batteries (not included). It has an antenna that telescopes out but still gets pretty good reception even with the antenna not telescoped out at all. Lightweight, compact, portable, and great for emergencies. Also one of the nice things about using it as an emergency radio is that since it uses AA batteries which are one of the most common and widely available types of batteries in existence it increases the odds that you will be able to find batteries for it in an emergency. During emergencies you can learn important news from radio stations and if no radio stations are broadcasting in an area where they normally are even that tells you important news…because then the news is the scope of the emergency must be huge.
