Doll is given an original box date of "1980" w/a "1983" head marking--we can say this is an original purchase from the time-period on the box, 1982; all other aspects of this doll are original to the 4031 original International Spanish Barbie. Original purchase, doll has been displayed in box; in storage much longer; Barbie has never been removed from the box; the box is in ACCEPTABLE CONDITON w/surface & edge wear to include creasing & dinging; plastic cover has yellowed & is still intact & clear; outfit still bright & colorful. Photos are a bit dark--sorry folks, we don't have a black cloud of doom filter on our camera. Box does stand on its own, box approx. 6"x12 1/2"x2". 1st edition International Spanish Barbie features: black hair, brown eyes, brown brows, light-red lips & blush.
