Intense Tracer FSR (20.5" Size L/XL)

Description: Intense Tracer FSR (20.5" Size L/XL). 2003 Intense Tracer FSR (21.5" L/XL) w/Uzzi SL rear suspension. This is the final iteration (version) of the specialized bicycles co. licensed design. Final generation sort of a special edition, built to be the ultimate version of the final version of the of Intense Tracer FSR. I have this thing dialed in with race face cranks with NOS brand new rings, ShimanoXTR/XT shift & braking, Fox Suspension f/r, SUN single track hoops on Shimano hubs, carbon bars/seat post keep the weight lower in the frame. Fresh enduro abec bearings all around and professionally tuned up. This thing is ready to rip! I call this the 'Ultimate' Tracer bcause previous generations lacked the additional gusseting on the seat mast they could never be as strong as this version. See the photos and compare to every other tracer you will ever see. Frame had to be shipped back to intense and have them fix (warranty) a weakened seat mast. They returned a new front triangle and it had additional material on the mast that the vast majority of Tracers Do NOT Have. This frame has a revision that fixed the only real weak spot on this frame. Most intense tracers don't have a problem with the seat mast as is evidenced by the fact that privateers and pros alike would use this cross country frame as a dual slalom bike. Although seat mast failures were rare, they did happen, yet not on this frame. With this additional gusseting I had the confidence to turn this bike into the ultimate version of the intense tracer. A very light 4.5-5 inch travel trail bike that would whoop cross country riders up hill and "all mountain" (freeride?) bikes on the way down. I stuck a Fox F-Series 32 4.7" (120mm) travel thru-axle fork on it and upgraded the rear suspension with the 4.5"+ travel swing link from the Uzzi SL model, rear shock FOX/Specialized 'Triad' large air volume shock with 3 suspension settings: full open, lock out, and ProPedal. In addition swapped a ton of parts out to strengthen the rotating bits and oh man! This thing is a total hoot to ride! I mean, yes it rides a little high, but with proper sag it's not noticeable and you sit "in" the bike. The result? It's so much better than it was 'Stock'! Between the Uzzi SL swing link and fork, the suspension is damn near perfect. The weight is around 28.5lb and that's a little portly but that's only because I have hefty tubes and because I found 2 NOS Intense tyre systems tires (System 4 2.25 front/System 5 2.10 rear). They are rare and somewhat collectable and were not cheap and they are not tubeless, but I'm a wierdo and because the wheels are burly and a little wheighy, they roll over trail obstacles with ease. Going tubeless would probably drop a pound and reduce rotating mass yet i never did it because the way this is set up is super fun! Only 1 'shake down' ride on this otherwise recently freshened up bike, It's so nice, I can't bring myself to ride it anymore. Take advantage of this sale because I promise you will not see another like it for many years.
