Description: See my other 78s. There is a very fine crack on the first 1/2". You cannot hear it. Listen to the recording. Otherwise it is E. Excellent. A classic side by JACK TEAGARDEN AND HIS ORCHESTRA: "JUNK MAN." This record features Jack's trombone, also the unique gathering of BENNY GOODMAN (clarinet), CHARLIE TEAGARDEN (trumpet) FRANK TRUMBAUER (C-melody sax) and CASPER REARDON (harp [!]). It was first issued on this Brunswick 7652, in 1936, a year and a half after it was recorded. ON THE flip side is an even older recording, from December, 1930: "CASA LOMA STOMP" by the CASA LOMA ORCHESTRA. On this side, the Casa Lomans lay the groundwork for the entire swing era, with four-to-the bar rhythm, antiphonal brass and reeds, and a certain "swing" attitude, five years before it swept the country, the first white band to do it!
