JAGUAR E TYPE 3.8 DASH ASS. XKE 1962-64 WITH WIRING, GAUGES SWITCHES CROSS HATCH

Description: Dash assembly for the Jaguar XKE/E Type series 1 3.8. This is the later cross hatch pattern center section used around 62-63 and told not reproduced like the very first cars that had the dot pattern. Comes with LHD Dash section and center section. All gauges present. Has switches along with wiring harness for under Dash and engine bay. Also has all four fuse blocks. And misc such as mounting bolts for center section. Issues: been out of car for many years. Out of control ex girlfriend went a bit nutty with a screw driver and put a scratch in center section aluminum panel. Stabbed the oil pressure gauge and broke the glass. It was replaced but some damage occurred to the outer face that has been repaired but not perfectly. The speedo rim has some scratches and someone messed with the little tabs that hold the rim to the instrument. Not bad and pretty much unseen but I want you to know. It's hold downs behind the Dash are kinda Mickey Mouse but work. The cigar lighter pull out part is M.I.A. The headlight dip lever has been shortened but seems fine. The enginebay wiring has one group of wires cut off where it attached to the bonnet up front. Otherwise the wiring looks pretty sound. I disconnected the wiring from the Dash panels for shipping reasons. Overall it looks good for use as in a driver car. The dash center would look better with a bright aluminum spray. The gauges probably all work but some of the outer rims would benefit with a respray in black. Switches appear to work. The plastic showing some age. Could be painted and look great. Heater controls have one plastic/ bakelight knob replaced and needs fitting. Speedo reset cable included. Ignition has working key. Headlight switch feels funny and might not work. Great item for car that no longer has dash or wiring due to fire or other issues. Lots of pieces!
