The Kodai (foot) of the plate features a comb pattern and vertical lines characteristic of Nabeshima ware, while the porcelain clay is uniquely Hirado, known for its sticky, dense quality that lends itself well to crafting detailed, intricate works with a high degree of plasticity.This is a Hirado ware plate with a Kago (basket) pattern from the late Edo period to the early Meiji period.
