A monumental Asian Six-panel Japanese screen with cranes and foilage along a body of water. This screen is from the Kano School dating between the 18th Century and 19th Century. The panels are painted and silver leaf melted on board. The edges are lined with silk with a fine ebonized frame. Some stains, wear, and paint loss throughout. Overall, it is in good condition considering its age. The imperfection on the right-hand corner shows a puncture. It would look great in any interior mixed with antiques or in a contemporary setting.
