JEAN COCTEAU / Authentic, Original... Via The

Description: This is a sensational drawing by the famous Jean Cocteau a 20th century giant in all of the French arts I purchased this wonderful drawing “ Le Soldat Reposent au Lit” from Christie’s, South Kensington This family’s extensive collection were sold over the course of three years After these sales, there have been few homoerotic pieces. This rarity has increased the values of these erotic drawings, thus increasing their value substantially. This particular drawing is one of three with a similar model, setting and style. The most recent sale of one of these was in 2014, at Christie’s, London the drawing was authenticated by the Comité Jean Cocteau. Usually Cocteau’s erotic ink drawings were often unsigned and without his symbolic star. This particular drawing “Le Soldat Reposent au Lit”the artist’s star signature is on the soldier’s left forearm. Please contact me with any question. Please only serious and experienced EBay buyers. Thank you. Provenance: Middle Eastern Private Collection Impressionism Modern, Post War Art sale # 9385 27/06/2002
