Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful antique Art Nouveau gilt bronze diminutive cabinet or table clock made by Jennings Brothers. The clock has a gilded finish on the bronze body that has a molded floral design with cherries. The body has a classic Art Nouveau shape and stands on four outward spreading feet. The clock has a wind-up mechanism. Marked on the front of the porcelain face with the trademark stamp of the Jennings Brothers and is marked on the back "Jennings Brothers Mfg. Co, Bridgeport Conn., USA, Patented". First patent date is May 6, 1890 and last patent date is May 29. 1894. Measures 7" high, 3 1/2" wide and 2" deep. Weighs 1.8 pounds. This nice clock is in very good condition reflecting only minor signs of normal wear. The clock has a clean face with beveled glass cover and the gilding is clean and bright reflecting only minor signs of normal wear and aging. The clock is currently working although the second hand does not work. The spring is good, clock winds smoothly and keeps time although we do not guarantee it to keep correct time for any extended period. We have not had the clock professionally checked and it most likely will need to be cleaned and possibly adjusted to keep good time. Please note that we are selling this clock as a shelf clock in "as found" condition without any guarantees.
