Description: Item Is in VERY GOOD condition with some normal minor shelf wear expected for a vintage book.The pages inside are pristine with no highlighting, marks, or writing; no dog earing or bent pages. The dust jacket is in VERY GOOD condition with some scratches on the back and front covers, but they are barely noticeable and blend with the background.There are shelf rubbing marks on the front, but it also blends in; there are no tears. There is minimal fraying along the top and bottom back edges of the jacket, especially along the front bottom, where there is a mild dent on the right corner. There's a dent on the top left corner by the spine. The crown and foot edge of the spine has mild wear from shelf rubbing, especially the crown, but all is minor. The inside red hardboards with gold lettering and gold insignia are in great shape with no bumped corners. there is one torn spot where a sticker was torn off on the back inside cover, but you can't see it from the outside. The spine is tight, no loose pages (Please see pictures as they are part of the description). Overall in VERY GOOD condition.This is an elegant book which is a collector's resource on jewelry. This has many gorgeous color photos and black and white illustrations, plus a table of precious stones for collectors. A great resource, or just a beautiful book to enjoy if you are interested in jewelery through the ages. A nice clean copy of this book. The book weighs close to 4.5 lbs, thus the shipping price.
