This unsmoked Boswell billiard is stunning and fills the hand well. The drilling is impeccable, almost conical at the bottom, this will allow the tobacco to burn to finality and perfectly. Stem is a hand cut smoked acrylic saddle bit. I’ve noticed over the past 2 decades that Boswell quality has actually gone up! Their bowl drilling has greatly improved, although it’s always been something JM is good at. The stem to shank fitting is perfect. It’s a sitter but will clench well due to the saddle bit. Winchester AA brass is used, perfect for the upcoming duck season this fall. Comes in the box so you get the full brand new Boswell buying experience without the rush to have it sell out in 35 seconds online, not having time to even read the dimensions or study the pictures. However, at the same time the bowl isn’t overly large in its chamber drilling. Something too common these days. JM uses cream of the crop briar.
