Description: This is a rare December 16th, 1918 program (playbill) from the National Tour engagement of the SIGMUND ROMBERG and RIDA JOHNSON YOUNG musical "MAYTIME" at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The Original Broadway production opened August 16th, 1917 at the Shubert Theatre in New York City, transferred on February 18th, 1918 to the 44th Street Theatre, moved to the Broadhurst Theatre on April 1st, 1918, followed by a move to the Lyric Theatre on August 5th, 1918 and returned to the Broadhurst Theatre on September 9th, 1918, running for 492 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The inside pages are printed on a newsprint stock ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is paper loss at the top of four inside pages (second scanned image) from a printing flaw and minor edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
