Description: This listing is for JOHN COLTRANE GIANT STEPS Atlantic 1311 there is NO COVER for this release it comes in a blank generic jacket. The record has the flat labels without the deep groove and has been ultrasonically cleaned and is on the better end of a VG grade there are some light marks on it nothing deep no serious marks. I tried to capture the condition in the photos. The playback for me on a goldring eroica moving coil and a linn karma moving coil was a VG+. The record has great depth of sound at points I heard a feint tic or click but they were hardly there and this should satisfy most folks. The B side has a mark across the first track Syeeda’s song flute this mark produced the most pronounced sound it’s a longer mark so it’s heard for quite a few revolutions but didn’t produce anything I found objectionable. For me this records playback is impressive if you set your expectations at VG it will exceed them I’m certain of that. I’ve owned this for over 40 years so I’m familiar with its playback and off and on looked for a cover for it but never did track one down. So if you have a cover for this you are in luck. I feel most people will be pleased with this in the condition as stated and seen in photos but I will offer a full refund if for some reason you aren’t happy upon its return.
