Description: PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR LARGER PICTURES. This is a miniature bronze version of John Rogers’ “The First Ride”. The original plaster Rogers Group was done by Rogers in 1888. This miniature version in bronze was done by Olszewski in 1987 for Goebel as part of the “Taming of the West” Series. The figurine is an exact copy of the original Rogers statue, only smaller, and in bronze. It is about 1 ½” tall and wide and is on its original wood plinth. This piece comes with its original box and brochure and is in excellent unused condition. The box shows some surface blemishes, but is structurally sound. I am also listing on ebay an original plaster version of John Rogers’ “Frist Ride”, so please check out my other listings. I had four of these figurines, but have sold two, so there are two left.
