Description: 1974 Laughlin Old Time Black Stars Judy Johnson #36 PSA VG-EX 4.5+ One of the game's smartest players. Judy had sure hands sand a great arm at 3rdbase. Born in 1900, he grew up in Delaware and at 18 played Sunday ball with the Bacharach Giants. By 1920 he was with Hilldale and was a fixture with them until 1929, leaving to manage the Homestead Grays. From 1932 to 1937 he played with the Pittsburgh Crawfords. A line-drive hitter, Johnson had fair power and was usually around .300. He led Hilldale at .341 in the first Negro World Series (1924).
