Description: I will be selling pieces from my personal collection of American Brilliant Cut glass, so please add me to your favorite seller list for future rare pieces. .........................................................This is a gorgeous Beverage Pitcher / " 3 pint Jug ". Measure: 8" tall and 5" wide in the base. It has a 4" wide rim. Its 7-1/2" long from spout to handle.It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is over 100 years old now! .The unique shape of the body is on a thick heavy blank with great clarity, adorned with the punty cut handle and thumb spot. The top rim in a rounded sawtooth which makes it more durable, while the spout is fluted. It has a huge Fanned Hobstar on either side with other fan and accenting cuts.This was made by Pitkin & Brooks, and it is the "Stella" pattern. This Exact piece is seen in the 1908 Pitkin/Brooks catalog on page 9 ( 1908-9). As the "Stella - 3 pint Jug, 4053, and it cost 11.25 back in 1908 to order one straight from the company. That was pricey back then. Condition: This is 110 years old by now, but its in amazing condition for its age. This has no chips or cracks. No spout chips, No rim chips, No handle damage, firmly attached. No clouding stains. It beautiful with only the expected minor scratches on bottom from age. ..........................................................No Returns! : Sorry but due to cost of shipping & insurance for this heavy glass, I have a No returns policy! Insurance claim (loss or damage): Please do not open a dispute with ebay without contacting me first because it is not necessary. I will make an insurance claim and you will be taken care of. I pack to survive, but if they break it I will need pictures to file the claim online. However, shippers do not just honor claims online anymore with the photo's only- now they tend to ask for an inspection of the item. USPS will send a letter within a week asking for the item to be brought in for inspection, while other companies may come to the residence for the inspection by appointment. I have to get the claim approved and the item inspected BEFORE I can refund now because they always require inspections and we have to comply with them. So first, pictures.
