Description: This is for an original June 1954 volume 2 number 3 issue of Brief magazine which was an Atlas publication published by the Mutual Magazine Corporation which was operating on Park Avenue in New York. This was one of those magazines which was larger than the mini mags but not quite a full sized publication which bombarded newsstands for mens attention featuring pinups and models in poses which pushed the envelope of what was and what was not legal. This one features some great photos of Marilynn Monroe while she was filming “The River of No Return”. The pics and story tells how Marilynn was injured during filming of a hazardous river scene and she ended up spending time on crutches while cameramen shot from different angles to hide her injury. Other models appearing in the book are Yvonne Wilson, Penny Duncan, Barbara Darrow, Irish McCalla, Suzanne Miller and Kathy Duncan. There is also a story featuring band leader Spike Jones along with alligator wrestling and a couple who performs rope and whip tricks.
