Justice League America|International #3-42 VF/NM 9.0+ 1987 DC Comics Back Issues

Description: Listing is NOT for all issues -- select and buy the one(s) you want. Don't buy one and think you are getting all -- I will not cancel/refund accidental purchases. I do combine shipping and offer discounts for multiple issues purchased. Just add the issues you want to your eBay cart and everything will be automatically calculated. The more you buy, the more you save! If you are an non-US buyer, combined shipping does not work automatically -- please contact me with the books you want and I can make the proper arrangements. Please see 'Seller Notes' for details on my collection. I have over 5,000 books from the 70s & 80s and am trying to figure out the best way to list them on eBay. Creating listings by title with issues as a variation seems to be the most efficient, plus allows me to automatically combine shipping and to offer discounts for multiple issues purchased. However, I lose the the option for buyers to make an offer. If there are specific books you would like to make an offer on, send me a message. Please check my eBay feedback to see what other buyers say about the condition of my books and be sure to check out my other listings for combined shipping discounts. Finally, while eBay is configured to not offer returns, if you feel a book has been misrepresented, I will work with you on it. Important note about shipping: I ship my comics in their sealed Mylar bag (no backing board) sandwiched between two 8.5" x 11" pieces of 1/8" corrugated cardboard placed in a 12" x 9" manila envelope. This should be adequate to protect the comics 99% of the time when shipped first class. You will have the choice to select either first class or economy/media mail shipping. Be advised that economy shipping is just like it sounds -- economy/3rd class and mail isn't treated all that well. Most of the time my packaging should withstand the abuse that 3rd class mail sees, but I can't be held responsible for damage caused by the post office in delivering the package as described. Choose first class shipping for more reliable handling and if you don't like my packing method, please contact me prior to purchase/payment to workout a different arrangement. Justice League (DC 1987)Series continues as Justice League International #7. The Justice League of America had once been the premier super-group in the DC universe. Over the years, however, its key members drifted off, leaving the organization weakened. The death knell of the old Justice League came during the Legends storyline, when Darkseid conspired to move public sentiment against super-heroes. The old Justice League of America was dissolved, only to be reformed in Legends #6 as The Justice League. The new team consisted of Doctor Fate, Batman, Shazam, Guy Gardner, the Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Mister Miracle, and Blue Beetle. The group was sponsored by Maxwell Lord, a multimillionaire who had fallen under the influence of a sentient super-computer. The computer’s plan was to organize the Justice League as a force to bring peace to the world. In issue #7, the computer (via Maxwell Lord) would further this plan by arranging for the team’s globalization as Justice League International. Justice League #3While a Russian nuclear power plant heads for a meltdown, the Justice League is kept busy by the Rocket Red Brigade in "Meltdown". Part 2 of 2, continued from the previous issue. Early in its history, the new Justice League was secretly being manipulated by a sentient computer. That computer had been designed to ensure that world peace would be achieved, regardless of what means were required to ensure this. After forming the Justice League, its next step was to focus on internationalization. The Computers thus manipulated Maxwell Lord, the Justice League’s rich benefactor, to move the Justice League to Paris, turning it into Justice League International with issue #8. The new team was composed of Mister Miracle, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Guy Gardner, Power Girl, J’onn J’onzz (Martian Manhunter), Fire & Ice, and the Huntress. As the Justice League International, they combined super-heroics and silliness in an enjoyable series of adventures. After issue #25, the team split into Justice League America and Justice League Europe. Justice League Europe would later change its name back to Justice League International. Justice League America (DC 1989-1996)The Justice League of America was reformulated in 1987 as part of a great shake-up in DC’s titles. As opposed to the old set of veterans who made up the original League, the new League consisted mostly of younger characters, including Mister Miracle, Blue Beetle, and The Martian Manhunter. The series has continued to evolve since then, adding Captain Atom, Rocket Red, and others, while simultaneously retiring other characters. In an interesting twist, the title took a global bent with issue #7, becoming known as Justice League International. Although the name changed to Justice League of America with issue #26, the experiment with globalism saw the birth of a new Justice League Europe, which has since spun off into its own series. Justice League America #26When Blue Beetle tries to skewer Maxwell Lord with a knife, Huntress gets between them in "Slice And Dice!" Part 1 of 4, continued next issue.
