For more than a decade TCMA/The Card Memorabilia Associates, Limited, issued dozens of reprint and commemorative sets - filling a void created when Fleer stopped issuing its baseball greats sets in the early 1960's. *According to the comprehensive Beckett BASEBALL CARD ALPHABETICAL CHECKLIST book, this card is the player's FIRST card. Card size is the modern standard (2-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches) but, in TCMA's early days, cutting size was not always spot-on; likewise, centering.
