The base allows the square to easily stand on its edge. There is a groove milled in the inner corner to provide clearance for burrs and debris. The faces have a brushed finish, while the reference edges are lapped smooth for straightness and parallelism. Manufactured to strict German DIN 875/2 standards and guaranteed square to within 0.001" over the entire length of the longest edge (that’s just one thousandth of an inch). Comes in a padded cardboard box. Includes signed inspection certificate.
