This spring served the purpose of securely locking the mixing attachments onto the shaft, giving that extra piece of mind that the attachments wouldn't come detached. The spring also serves to extend the life of the shaft and mixer attachments by reducing wear between them during use. As a mechanical engineer, I knew I could reverse engineer the parts needed to bring back this missing feature. Sourcing the perfect parts was tricky but the installation was a breeze so I figured I'd simplify this process for others and start selling the parts as an all-in-one kit that takes all the measurement, testing, and sourcing out of the equation. This kit not only ensures secure attachment of your mixing accessories but also brings back that satisfying feeling of confidence every time you use your mixer.
