Description: "KMC" was the in-house electronics brand for Kmart Corporation, and they manufactured goods out of Taiwan including everything from small calculators (like this one) to VHS players, televisions, and CB radios. For sale here is a vintage 1980s KMC 8000B pocket calculator, solar powered. It comes in a pleather slip case with a little folder pocket (you could fit perhaps a couple of business cards in the pocket). It uses the same chip as all of the inexpensive calculators of the time. The LCD display is clean and functions well. The logic board has been tested and functions well. (Which is just to say, it seems to do math functions just fine.)
