Description: Koch's Holiday Beer set of Advertising Table Tents - Dunkirk NY Here's a set of vintage advertisements from The Fred Koch Brewery which was located in Dunkirk, NY until 1986. They advertise their Holiday Beer. They measures approximately 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" inches, and have information on both sides. The brewery opened in 1888, and made soda pop during prohibition, and was able to survive while many other breweries folded during this era. Koch's was "The tiny little brewery, where real beer was made" that was absorbed by a larger (Genesee) brewery ending a brewing tradition that Dunkirk, NY enjoyed for over 100 years! It was one of the thousands of small community brewers that dotted the landscape and then disappeared in the face of competition from the major breweries. oday these little companies would be called micro-breweries and they would be experiencing a resurgence. Since the brewery closed memorabilia has continued to become harder to find. Thanks for bidding!!
