Description: A Stunning Antique KTK Lotus Ware Covered Sugar Bowl, Pale Yellow w/Gold Accent, Numbered & Signed. This bowl is bone china and was produced by Knowles Taylor Knowles for only a short period of time in East Liverpool, Ohio, about six years, it is considered scarce and highly collectible. This covered bowl is painted a pale yellow with gorgeous applied flowers, leaves and bow/branches painted gold. It has applied twig handles, also with gold accent with a matching lid. The distinctive KTK mark on the bottom places the production of this piece between1889 - 1896. It also is numbered and signed - which is rare. (See the last 3 photos). The shape of this covered bowl is like the piece on page 82 of the KTK American Bone China book by Timothy J. Kearns. It is 5 3/4" wide across the top (handle to handle) and is 4" tall. This piece is in terrific condition - no chips or hairline cracks. A stunning example of fine bone china by a premier American pottery company!! A must-have for any collector!!
