The summer resort included a hotel, cottages, tents, and a steamer landing on the bay.To get to the resort, guests could take the Southern Pacific Railroad to Lake Tahoe, and then board a steamer to the resort’s landing.Guests could entertain themselves with a variety of amusements that included; bathing, boating, guided fishing trips, dancing, picnics, hiking, horseback riding, and cruises on the lake aboard the resort’s 40-foot motor launch.The resort changed hands several times, and in 1953, it was sold to the State of California.
